A project completed back in 2023, sadly I forgot to make it public due to total lack of time.

For the last couple of years I've been involved in the creation of artworks for new metro stations in Moscow, as well as a variety of outdoor mural art. This is one of them: a 50-meter long mosaic in the underpass at RUDN metro station, which opened only last year.

The concept here is very simple and straightforward - the mural is a representation of 14 world capitals, each depicted by its most famous key landmarks, united by a pattern of colorful paint textures and rendered very loosely, only in silhouettes for some of them (for mosaic has its own limitations in terms of possible level of detail). Also each city has its distinctive color palette, which helps separate them graphically from one another

The artwork was rendered into a mosaic mural, using a mix of styles with some handpainted pieces, and now graces the underpass and is quite popular with students for selfies.

The mosaic was created by the amazing Maxim Kozlov and his team.

Thanks for viewing and enjoying!
